Support Greg's Journey to Stability

Greg is an elderly man who has found himself without a home after being attacked by another tenant at the property where he had been residing for 5 years. With nowhere else to go, he has been living in a tent behind a vacant building enduring the harsh conditions of winter without proper shelter or resources. Despite his circumstances, Greg remains incredibly kind and humble, always greeting those who pass by with warmth and gratitude.

He is not without income—Greg receives a monthly Social Security check, which provides him with some financial stability. However, without a permanent residence, securing safe and suitable housing has been a challenge. He needs assistance navigating the process of finding affordable housing, as well as support in accessing any additional resources that may be available to help him regain stability.

Greg’s situation is one of unfortunate circumstance rather than choice. He is not someone who wishes to remain on the streets; rather, he is simply in need of guidance, advocacy, and perhaps a helping hand to get back on his feet. With the right support, he could transition into a safe, permanent living situation where he no longer has to endure the elements or uncertainty of homelessness.

Anyone who meets Greg quickly realizes he is a good-hearted person who has fallen on hard times. He is not asking for much—just the opportunity to live with dignity in a place he can call home.

Due to negative experiences in the past Greg does not feel safe going to a shelter, or a shared house facility. I am working daily to assist him in connecting with the proper services he needs. 

I am raising funds to help Greg find a home, cover essential expenses, and connect him with the resources he needs to regain stability. Your donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Greg’s housing needs. Ensuring he has the best possible foundation for his fresh start. This includes, but is not limited to, securing and furnishing an apartment once one is obtained, as well as prepaying rent and utilities to provide him with long term stability.
