Monster's Recovery Fund

Monster aka Bunny is an Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier mix who has been a part of my life since he was 3 months. He is my companion, my pet, my best friend, and such an integral part of my family. I could not image our lives without him. He is one of the most affectionate loving animals I have ever met. He wants nothing more than to cuddle with anyone who is willing to give him a snuggle - especially if you are a man. 

A week ago he developed a lesion inside of his spinal cord. His medical team is baffled as to the cause. One minute he was fine and in the next he was in more pain than an animal should ever have to experience. The medical team believes that he had something like an aneurysm within his spinal cord (which really hasn't been seen in dogs before). This condition, which struck so unexpectedly, instantly left his back legs paralyzed and it is likely that this will be permanent.



Oddly, otherwise he is completely healthy and happy. The team believes that with rest, physical therapy and adaptive equipment he can continue to have an excellent quality of life.

We are beyond gratful for the treatment he is receiving from the neurology department at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, but have very quickly racked up thousands of dollars in medical expenses. To continue to give him the best care possible we ask that you consider making a donation.
