Dearest close friends & family-
Some of you know our story but many do not. It dates back to early January when Sam came to me saying he wanted to separate and I needed to leave. I immediately sought pastoral care and the counsel we received was to put some healthy boundaries in place and work on our individual issues. As I sought to do so it became apparent that something was very wrong.
I called close friends who did our premarital counseling and wedding and asked them to mediate for us in hopes of reconciling and separating for a time.
I'll skip many of the details but Sam continued to talk about divorce. He took all of the money out of our bank account and used it to hire a divorce attorney and told me he had custody of our children. He had no filed documentation to back up his claims of custody. Our pastors and friends pleaded with Sam to let me have the children back. He refused.
Sam has served me divorce documents and through slanderous and deceptive accusations is wanting to take my babies. He has also laid claim to the entirety of our assets and has disowned me as a wife. It has been a horrendous time and absolutely heartbreaking. I have not seen my children for over a month. His actions have forced me to live out of my van, staying with various friends. I am so incredibly thankful for the way God has sustained me and provided thus far. Many of you have come to my aid with toiletries and cards, a place to lay my head, gasoline, money toward attorney fees and tons of prayer and love. THANK YOU. That is the ONLY way someone in my position comes through this kind of situation stronger than before.
At this point, decisive legal action is the only path I have to attain some semblance of the life I once knew. I have been a stay at home Mother for five years aside from part time work. My Attorney is committed to fighting for justice and truth. We are asking those who care and are close to me or our situation to prayerfully consider a donation toward legal fees, an adequate living arrangement, and desperately needed vehicle maintenance. Thank You again for your love, encouragement, and support.
