Hi All,

I’m Kristal, now living in the UK but only migrated from Jamaica 2 years ago. I’m trying to raise funds to support people who have lost everything. When Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica, it left behind more than broken homes. It left broken hearts. I’ve spent the past few days trying to process the devastation, and it’s been incredibly hard. Many of the people I love most in this world, my friends, family, and childhood neighbours have lost everything they’ve ever worked for.

Homes that once echoed with laughter are now filled with silence. Streets that used to be full of life are now covered in debris. Some of my loved ones are sleeping in temporary shelters, unsure of what tomorrow will bring. It’s heartbreaking to know that people who have always given so much to others are now the ones in desperate need of help.

I can’t just stand by and watch. I’m starting this fundraiser to help provide food, clean water, clothing, and shelter for those who are struggling to rebuild. Every single donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping families get back on their feet and begin the long process of recovery.

Jamaica has always been known for its strength, warmth, and resilience. I believe in that spirit more than ever. Together, we can bring hope back to those who’ve lost everything and remind them that they’re not alone.
