MaryBeth and Chris Meyer got some scary news on July 11th about their baby boy, James. James was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms tumor (nephroblastoma) and is currently at the University of Iowa for treatment. He begins chemotherapy tonight (July 13th).
Please join us in prayer (see specific requests below) and raising funds for their medical needs. They are still in the very beginning stages of their journey, so the specific needs are still in the air. I will update and change this as time goes on.
Prayer Requests
-Chris, MaryBeth, and James would all get rest
-That they would remember to eat and be able to keep it down
-That James's blood pressure would return to normal levels
-That the chemotherapy would quickly shrink and eliminate cancer cells in his kidneys
-That James would have at least one healthy, functioning kidney
-That God would give their family an abundance of grace in managing family, work, travel, and treatment
-That they would continue to see God's good in the midst of this pain
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all" (Psalm 34:17-19).
