It Takes a Village!

Our dearest Epoch Village Crone, Ben Moraes, requires some community support!

Ben has been mysteriously sick for months this last year. After many tests and exams, he received a stage four cancer diagnosis. Since receiving this diagnosis, he's been in and out of the hospital which has been a financial burden on him and his family. We are asking for $20,000 to help him and his family out with medical expenses such as hospital stays, doctor's appointments, chemo, and medication plus living costs like rent as Ben has been unable to work for the last few months.

Ben is one of the most giving, considerate, and selfless people at Epoch. During his time as a manager at the Village location, he cultivated a space in which baristas felt heard, valued, safe, and supported. Ben is the kind of person who would go out of his way to make someone feel comfortable or go to bat for anyone in his corner no matter the circumstances. During the hardest days he's experienced recently, his spicy spirit and thoughtfulness has not wavered. He is still worried about his loved ones at Epoch even from a hospital bed. It's time we give back to him all of the love he's put into this community. Let's show him some love, y'all!
