Donation protected
I am now blind ….
Hi my name is Ruthlyn Bidard, I am based in the uk and 74 years old.
During 2020 Covid -19 I lost 90% of my eyesight due to a generative disease called Glucoma.
Glucoma causes:
- intense eye pain
- nausea and vomiting
- permernant loss of vision
- server headaches
- tenderness around the eyes
- seeing rings around lights
- blurred vision
Glucoma has affected my life greatly, leaving me on long term pain relief, steriod eyedrops, loss of confidence.
I am now registered BLIND and solely depend on my carers and family for help with my daily living activities.
I have dedicated my life to God, my religion and my family.
My past has included many missionary work, pilgrimages and charity events.
when I was fit and healthy I could travel a lot more independently and I more Freedrom.
Since I have lost my eyesight I have lost so much of my independence and part of me has been stolen.
The reason why I am reaching out is because I need your support and help.
I would like to travel to South Korea, to the beautiful area of cheon pyeong for one last time. The funds will be used towards transport a flight from the UK to Seoul Korea for myself and my carer.
It will also be used for accommodation and any extra medical support I may need while travelling.
This is my wish and dream and a very special pilgrimage close to my heart.
I would love to see the beautiful cheon pyeong lake and feel the cool calm breeze upon my skin.
As I only have 10% eyesight left, this is a very crucial time for me before I undergo a last leap of faith and have surgery.
I will need full assistance with travelling and that includes taking a selected carer.
the money I raise will help with my travel fees and any outstanding amounts I need to take a carer with me.
If you can find it in your heart to help. Please donate.
My aim is to travel for early April for 7 days and then return back to the uk
Please share and spread awareness
May God bless you all
Love Ruthlyn
