Hi my name is Casey Barling and my family including my husband and my 4 kids, have just suffered the devastating loss of our beautiful staffy, Bellatrix. She was not “just a dog”. She was a valued member of this family. Bella was with us for 10 years, she has quite literally grown up with my son whose birthday is a month before Bella’s. He knows no other life without her in it. Until now… On May 30th, Bella became unwell and with her age and how sick she was, we had to make the devastating decision to put her to sleep. She left this world surrounded by all her family telling her what a good girl she is and how much we love her. As devastated as we were, vet care does not come free and we were left with a $600 vet bill. We will also have Bella cremated with Pets at Peace and have her sent home to us with a fur clipping and a paw print. This is a non negotiable expense for us as it is the only comfort we can give to our children now. We all need our girl home with her family, where she belongs. The cost of this is another $600. I understand in the current economy everyone is doing it tough. We will make this work somehow regardless of what we receive in donations but it will put us in some hardship. I am already online as an aspiring creator, some people do already support my content so it made sense to me to actually reach out to my supporters to ask for help with something that we truly do need. Please, we understand that our dog is our responsibility, it does not hurt to seek support and kindness if it will make this time easier for us.
