Help Purple Rhymes With Orange Buy a Used Car

My much loved old car died in May. She had given us good years well beyond her reasonable life expectancy. She was 20 years old with 260k on the engine.

Slothgurl and I are both on disability incomes which, as you can guess, means we have not been able to save up any money. Slothgurl has been dealing with MS for more than ten years and was diagnosed with a rare (6 people in a million) cancer last month. She is starting chemo, and we need a reliable vehicle to get her to all her appointments. She will not be able to continue her MS medications while doing chemo, which will likely result in her needing a wheelchair within a year.

We realize many in our community are struggling to pay bills, and we would not want anyone to donate unless you can do so comfortably. Please help us get this seen by as many people as possible. My audience is tiny, so we will greatly appreciate all signal boosts.
