Our mum passed away in September 2019.  I am sure that many will remember the warm loving, and generous person that she was.  

During her illness, she was fortunate to have had excellent treatment and care in the Tearman Ward, in St. Camillus' hospital.  The care she received was second to none, and it has been a continuous comfort to us that she was taken care of so well.  The staff in the ward went above and beyond at all times to care for her, and also showed exceptional warmth to us as well.  Their generosity of spirit will always be remembered by us. 

We have thought long and hard of how to repay their kindness.  At the facility, they have a wonderful garden designed for dementia patients.  This garden is a little oasis of calm for patients, and is such a wonderful space in a hospital setting, while being safe and secure for them. 

They organise daily activities for all their patients and work one to one with them. The patients rooms are individually decorated with their art work.

With this in mind, we are hoping to raise €1,000 to give to their charity, for them to spend as they wish on anything that will enable them to keep up the superior work that they do. 

For the month of November, we will be completing 1,000 kilometers, and ask that you would sponsor us in our journey in memory of our mum, as we run, walk, jog & limp!

Funds raised will be donated in full to the "North Liberties Mental Health Association" who administers charitable donations for the Tearman ward (registered charity CHY20204730).  The charity oversees some of the funding for the ward, and 100% of your donation will go to them to use in whichever way they can benefit the patients at the ward.
