Hello Everyone,
I'm running the half-marathon again for Abraham Moss Warriors. If you are unaware of the great work they do and what they mean to our family, I'll catch you up real quick. Abraham Moss Warriors is a club like no other I’ve known; when I volunteered to help out at the club I witnessed dedicated coaches working through sports activities to bring fun, teamwork and ambition to children from less privileged backgrounds while encouraging self-belief and building opportunity in their community.
The club encourages personal and educational growth which is recognised at their annual awards ceremony including the “Jacques Browne” Inspiration Award, named after my late brother who was also a previous volunteer at the club. The award goes to the child who has been most inspirational for their peers - typically someone who has overcome adversity or demonstrated virtuous behaviour, often while resisting less socially-acceptable alternatives.
Recently they also introduced the "Lucas Browne' Caring and Determination Award. I am very humbled and honoured that they would dedicate an award to me. The award is given to a child you has shown empathy and compassion, whilst overcoming adversity through resilience and perseverance.
Thanks in advanced to everyone xx
