UPDATE FOR HUNTER- 8.13.23
Hunter is heading toward the finish. We need a little boost to help him finish strong. We would appreciate any donations and all prayers. He could not have made it this far without your help. We are eternally grateful.
It’s been over a month since the Botox treatments, and they aren’t working. It has been disappointing to say the least. As some of you know, we were headed to South Korea in April for Hunter to do treatments. We researched it, talked to people and it seemed like the next step. However, God sent an angel to reach out to tell us about a neuro place in Texas that helped heal her daughter. We went a couple of weeks ago and really believe that’s where we need to be. So now we are in Austin to start intensive treatments. We are very positive and looking forward to improvements.
We really appreciate all the prayers and donations. Your support means more than you know!
SECOND UPDATE-
Hunter has had his first initial visit so the Doctors could see where he is now and what the specific treatment will be. We are devastated at how many treatments he will need. We are humbly asking for more prayers and support.
Watch for a link to Hunter's story today at 5:00 on News 9. Thank you for everything! We are asking God for a miracle.
As most of you know our grandson, Hunter, has been diagnosed with Dystonia, a form of Parkinson’s. He is in Houston at Texas Children's Hospital getting his first treatment of botox in his neck and larynx, so that he can move his neck and be able to talk again. We are praying this will also help alleviate some of his pain. Their insurance has denied payment for any of his treatments. Dystonia is rare for children under 18. To have any hope of a normal life, he will have to have botox every three months and eventually brain surgery.
The cost of 4 botox treatments will be $40,000 to $50,000. Any support would be greatly appreciated, and Please continue to pray for Hunter.
