My name is Nick, I am Cristina's boyfriend and she is my soulmate. We have an incredibly long road ahead of us. A routine colonoscopy turned my sweet girls world upside down. A few weeks back she went for a colonoscopy, she started the drink, and it didn't work. We went to the hospital because she didn't go to the bathroom. They "cleared" the blockage. 3 days later, Cristina began to throw up every 10 minutes, and I brought back to the emergency room. Turned out she had diverticulitis, and inflammation in her colon. This turned into surgery, this 6 hour surgery became 11 and half. Her vitals crashed multiple times, and even needed adrenaline to bring her back to life. The surgeon was not sure she was going to make the night. I was asked who was her power attorney, does she have a will, dnr etc. It was ugly. Fast forward to 5 days later, as she began getting her faculties back, from being intubated, she had a high fever, and began have seismic shifts in her blood pressure, temperature, and slipping in and out of consciousness, she was septic. She needed a second emergency surgery. During this surgery her vitals crashed again. They were able to save her for the second time.

2 days later, when we thought it couldn't get worse it did. The biopsy came back from surgery 1. The love of my life has stage 3c colon cancer with mucosa, which is a rare form of colon cancer. We are preparing for war. Cristina still sits inside of the hospital for thr near future as she will be going to an acute rehab, and from there to knock out this cancer.

In this, we have severals needs for help. Cristina is a single parent to 2 amazing children, she faces being out of work and going unpaid for an upwards of a year. I'm offering all I can, and even that is not enough. The emergency savings will be depleted by the end of the month, and we are at the mercy of this cancer. She has a very long road ahead of her.
