Hello, my name is Jazmin Martinez; Jesus Martinez’s 2nd oldest daughter. I am trying to raise funds to help my mother with my father’s funeral expenses and give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves. As much as we tried to prepare, we didn’t think my dad would leave us this soon.

My father gained his wings on December 20, 2025, at 4:59 pm after a tough fight. My dad fought as long as he could and is now our guardian angel. My father was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2023 and struggled throughout the year with health problems. In September 2024, he was diagnosed with ampullary cancer. Although he went through radiation and chemo medication, it didn’t go away, and unfortunately, his health continued to decline due to liver failure and cancer. My father was such a kind, helpful, funny, strong, and respected man. He was a great man with a kind soul, had a wonderful sense of humor, and a beautiful smile. To know my dad is to love him. He was a father, grandfather, and a husband. He leaves behind a wife, 6 children, and 12 grandchildren. Any funds raised will go towards funeral services, cremation, and memorial arrangements.

Hola, mi nombre es Jazmin Martinez; soy la segunda hija mayor de Jesús Martinez. Estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a mi madre con los gastos del funeral de mi padre y brindarle la despedida digna y emotiva que se merece. Por mucho que intentamos prepararnos, no pensamos que mi padre nos dejaría tan pronto.

Mi padre falleció el 20 de diciembre de 2025 a las 4:59 p. m. después de una dura batalla. Luchó todo lo que pudo y ahora es nuestro ángel guardián. A mi padre le diagnosticaron cirrosis en 2023 y luchó durante todo el año con problemas de salud. En septiembre de 2024, le diagnosticaron cáncer de ampolla de Vater. Aunque recibió radioterapia y quimioterapia, la enfermedad no remitió y, lamentablemente, su salud continuó deteriorándose debido a la insuficiencia hepática y el cáncer. Mi padre era un hombre amable, servicial, divertido, fuerte y respetado. Era un gran hombre con un alma bondadosa, un maravilloso sentido del humor y una hermosa sonrisa. Conocer a mi padre era quererlo. Fue padre, abuelo y esposo. Le sobreviven su esposa, 6 hijos y 12 nietos. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a los servicios funerarios, la cremación y los arreglos conmemorativos.
