Our son Jeffrey was re diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in Dec of 2015. He will need to complete a total of 6 rounds of chemo before transferring over as a BMT patient. On May 10 he will have another pet scan and what ever follow up appts that week before starting the 8 day inpatient intense chemo at that time he will have an auto stem cell recovery transplant.  He will remain hospitalized till his numbers come up they say 30 days but each patient is different. Not sure how all these days start and end when it comes to the BMT but sometime after 60 days he will then under go 4 weeks of radiation on his lungs. I have been off of work since Dec and Blaine has only been working part-time so he can be here off and on. When Jeffrey starts the intense chemo Blaine will be off of work for an unknown period of time to be here with our son until Jeffrey is completely finished with treatment.
