I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my mother to help with my sister's end-of-life expenses. As many of you know, Tasha was a lifelong diabetic, since the age of 12. Her diabetes was poorly managed, which caused her many health problems, especially in recent years. As many of you know, she had been on dialysis the last 2 years due to complete renal failure and lost her foot due to an infection that would not go away. The last few years were rough for her, but she remained positive and touched many lives.

Tasha leaves behind a 5-year-old daughter, Willow, and an 18-year-old son, Landon. Tasha has lived with my mother for the last decade until my mom had recently moved out due to her own health problems. In September, my mother, Terri, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. A few weeks later, we found out the cancer had metastasized to her brain, lungs, and chest cavity. The doctors cannot operate, so treatment is her only option. She has undergone radiation and this week will start chemo. My mom has not worked since the end of September and was not prepared for this expense.

UPDATE: 11-29-2024- We have reached the initial goal of 2,500 which is what was needed for cremation costs. The plan has changed now so that we can bury her in the same cemetery my mamaw is buried and where my mother and papaw will be as well. I have raised the goal amount to 4,000 to see if we can raise most of the funeral costs. The funeral costs will be somewhere between 8,000 and 9,000. We have half the amount we need at this point. Again, thank you all for the tremendous amount of help. We couldn't get this done without your help! I am meeting with the funeral home on Monday to make final arrangements and will be letting everyone know the funeral date/time when it is known.
