Thank you for your time and consideration in reading this plea for my friend Janice Mcdonald. Janice was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021, and while this is considered one of the worst cancer diagnoses, Janice and her team found cancer at a very early stage and thus together have worked very hard to vanquish the beast. Cancer treatment is very hard, sometimes worse than the effects of the disease, and Janice’s treatment has been just that, long and difficult. Yet, she has endured all treatment and her spirits remain high and positive. Those of you who know Janice well know she is a very strong person.

Despite positivity, strength, strong will and determination, it has been impossible for Janice to work during this time. Believe me, when I tell you, cancer treatments take their toll. Janice has managed this past year to keep a roof over her head, but it has not been easy, and thus she has been looking forward to very shortly returning to work to financial solvency. However, life had other plans. Janice is now facing new rounds of treatment; returning to work will not be an option for her at this time. I am asking that now for Janice’s friends, family, and community to gather around and support her emotionally and financially during this next phase. Janice will need help keeping her home and putting food on her table, not to mention all the extra financial burdens that come with dealing with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Please find it in your hearts to consider even a small donation on Janice’s behalf. She is not done with the fight and needs us in her corner.
