Help Harriet get home adaptions
Donation protected

Harriet is our beautiful 4-year-old girl. She is non-verbal, autistic, has severe learning disability , sensory processing disorder, and is tube-fed.
After years of waiting, we’ve finally found a council house that could be our forever home. bigger, safer, and with the space Harriet desperately needs for her sensory equipment and medical supplies.
But there’s a heartbreaking catch… After 18 months on the waiting list for a disability facility grant to make essential adaptations, we’ve been told it cannot be used on this house. If we don’t take it now, we could be waiting years to be rehoused and Harriet can’t wait that long.
We’re asking for help to cover the urgent adaptations Harriet needs as recommended by her housing occupational therapist:
• Dropped curb
• Driveway
• Garden gate
• Driveway gate at bottom of the driveway
These will make the house safe and accessible for Harriet’s needs immediately after we move. Harriet elopes and has no danger awareness. She has managed to run in the road on multiple occasions and this house it goes on to a very busy main road.
we have put a target of £6.5k which covers just the dropped curb and driveway + fees once I have the quotes for the rest of work needed it will be changed.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help us give Harriet a safe, stable forever home where she can grow and thrive. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
