As some of you may know my nephew Trevor suffered a significant firework accident on the 4th of July. It was a blast type injury that affected both of his hands. He was taken to Providence in Everett then sent to Harborview in Seattle where he eventually had bilateral hand reconstructive surgery. Trevor suffered severe bone and soft tissue damage and the surgeons did the best job possible to save as much of his hands as they could. Unfortunately they were not able to save all of his fingers and they won't know the full extent of his injuries for some time. They have a very long road ahead of them and right now are just trying to process everything and taking it one step at a time. Trevor is at home now and is doing well considering all he's been through. He is aware that he will be missing some fingers on his hands and we are working through that with him. At this point they are putting 100% of our effort towards Trevor's recovery to help him any way they possibly can.
These funds will be used for ongoing medical expenses, treatment, future reconstructive surgery and any unforeseen expenses. He has been trying to keep in touch with his friends using his nose to maneuver through his iPhone however, his thumb that he lost was the one to unlock his phone. They are looking to get him a new phone with facial recognition to make things easier for him.
They will have many obstacles along the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated along with continued prayers.
Trevor is such an awesome kid and means to world to me.
Thank you all for the love and support that everyone has given. It really means a lot to him and his family.
