Hi my name is Yajaira Mercado, and with a heavy heart I’m asking for help to cover medical cost for my dad Jose, as most of you know him as Pepe.

He is the sole provider of our family, and as many of you who know him, he is a hard working, loving man, who is always first to offer his help to friends and family, without hesitation. After a week of a pain in his stomach I finally convinced him to come to the ER, he was immediately taken to a room after the blood work came back. It resulted that he has blood clots throughout his body, but the biggest concern is one blocking his left kidney, which is not getting rid of waste, his heart is being monitored and we were told that he could be at risk for a brain hemorrhage because of the constant headaches. We haven’t received a full diagnosis and we were told that there’s no date on discharge, or why the blood clots are happening. There’s been specialist in and out of the room, and many tests done.

My dad has always been in sports, eats healthy, doesn’t smoke or drink, so this came as a huge surprise to us.

We are hoping for good news and for him to be discharged soon.
