Help Me Study Arts Strategy @ UPenn

Wow! Hello! I've just been accepted into the Executive Program in Arts and Culture Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania. This Ivy League certification program is geared toward equipping early to mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector to build and sustain impactful cultural programs and organizations.
I'm floored! I applied to this program because I recognized that transitioning into the arts with a degree in political science, there are foundational basics I need to develop as an emerging cultural worker. Through this program, I will learn fundamental skills to think strategically, manage people and budgets, and work well with a board of directors. All while in collaboration with other cultural workers from around the nation.
To gain practical experience, I recently co-founded DIRT, a platform and resource for accessible critical arts discourse within the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area. I also work freelance as a project assistant for a local DC artist.
It is my goal to work as a consultant to DC artists and arts organizations. I want to build impactful avenues to create equity and justice by strengthening contemporary artistic and cultural contributions that would otherwise go mishandled, incorrectly contextualized, or frankly ignored.
The Executive Program in Arts & Culture will prepare me with the skills and knowledge to work with arts organizations and start my own!
By contributing financially, you will assist in some of the costs associated with program including participation fees, transportation and program activities. I am extremely thankful of any contribution that you can give. There is no donation that is too small to help me reach my goal. Please share with other people that may appreciate my efforts.
I look forward to your support.
Respectfully,
Jordan Martin
