Because I choose to dream.
I believe we are at a cusp of our growth on this ball of mud and if we don't evolve from this tiny seed called earth we may perish and never know the glorious heights that await us, or the true challenges of a universe that has no bounds. Yes, I dream, for humanity. -Michelle Broyles
Starting this project with over 40 years of engineering in hands on designing and hands on building everything from Computers, Electronics and Semiconductor machinery. I started and ran businesses in computers, and high precision semiconductor equipment. I hold patents in the areas of semiconductor processing equipment and anti-vibration technology.
In 2008 when big and small failed and markets dried up I closed my doors on my company and hung up the title of President & CEO. I decided to retire. Being retired is ok, some love it, but I find it lacking.
I discovered a way to do something good again, that fit my skills, to take what was a dream since childhood and make it a reality. I wanted to see us exploring the heavens and the our solar system, we have fallen short. Not because it's easy, but because it's too hard. Here is our chance I believe to take that too hard and make it a reality to go where we dream. I'm building, testing and designing a Electromagnetic Reaction Drive or as it's called an EMDrive do just that and need a little help.
I'm currently involved in the theories and where the real fun is, in the designing of the test equipment on NASASpaceflight.com with the name of SeeShells http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=37642.0
I'm also on Reddit as one of the builders http://www.reddit.com/r/emdrive.
I have a 2500 sq ft shop on my property that I am using to build, set up and test.http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2015/04/evaluating-nasas-futuristic-em-drive/
is a good primer to what many think can and will happen but, we need testing with basic science to understand the reason why this works the way it does. Nasa's budget is very small and have restrictions in time, goals and resources.
I'm sharing my build with the world and the results, it needs to be done for us all. I'm not looking for a lot, just a little to help the dream. 40 years of engineering tells me it will work (and I'm not alone).
And after all the testing it may not work as we would like and who knows what else we could find in simply the basic sciences.
One reviewer and writer in Forbes said "Inventing a time machine would be more dramatic than EmDrive but not a lot more. A force engine would be like inventing fire."http://www.forbes.com/sites/investor/2015/05/29/investor-alert-emdrive-could-make-uber-seem-about-as-disruptive-as-a-sweat-smear/
I don't like asking, but I need some help making a fire. I have the sticks.
PS: The picture is of me at the Super Conductor Super Collider in Texas helping to build and design a imaging system for particle physics much like what is currently done at CERN. It's not a EMDrive.
