#GoBeyongGiving is an amazing campaign going on by #gofundme we would be thrilled to be considered: please read as to why we could think Holli deserves this!
We all know that Holli has a heart that is made of pure gold. If you don't know selflessness then you don't know Holli. These last few months have been some trying time for her and her fur babies. As her friends and people who admire her what better way to make her Holidays brighter, by donating. Here is some info on Lola: As many of you may know Hollis dog Lola has been diagnosed with non resectable mast cell tumors . In June of this year she had 2 tumors surgically removed and was given a clean bill of health . Approx 2 months post surgery Lola started acting like she didn't feel well, upon initial exam the vet discovered extremely enlarged lymph-nodes . After a biopsy it came back mast cell . The cancer had returned and metastasized . This is typically a death sentence for a dog , however for anyone who has followed Stellas Hope and the many dogs who were deemed terminal, Holli doesn't give up . She isn't about to give up on her own dog s. A simple social media post was seen by a specialist. She recommended a medication for Lola. The cost of this medication is $500 every 10 days . To date Holli has spent over $5000 on Lolas care ( including her previous tests, surgery etc ) there was a fundraiser that helped tremendously but Hollis personal
out of pocket cost is over $5000. Holli recently took on a 2nd job to support the surviving distemper pups , then a part time 3rd job to cover their much needed physical therapy and acupuncture .
After getting Lolas diagnosis Holli made the very difficult decision to quit one of her 3 jobs , rented a room in her house and made some serious cut backs financially so she can spend time with Lola and take her to her many vet appointments. On top of two jobs , running Stellas hope , caring for 6 dogs 4 with special needs , she doesn't stop . From sun up till after midnight she is doing something . Having the ability to work from home has been her saving grace but still I can see the stress taking its toll on her , I can hear it in her voice when we talk . And ontop of all of that, Marley and Lola got into a fight here is that story: Yesterday while on a walk with Lola, Marley and Emerson we were approached by an elderly woman with a Walkingstick dark glasses on and a hat as well as a small barking dog. Emerson was afraid of the woman so he barked and then the woman's dog started barking, she cross the street and started walking towards us I asked her to please not. She continued crossing the street walking towards us Marley barked, Lola postured Marley and before I could do anything the most horrific fight erupted . This happened at 4:30 in the afternoon in broad daylight in my neighborhood. I am mediately tried separating them screaming for anybody to come and help me. Doors started opening people started coming outside but then they turned around and went back inside and watched from their windows as I wrestled with my 2 /80 plus pound females trying to kill each other. I continued to scream for help as I was able to separate them multiple times only for the other one to come back at the one I had a hold of. I was bit numerous times, I hit my head on the curb resulting in a giant lump in the back of my head. I rolled around on the pavement with my two dogs while they ripped each other apart. Finally A man came driving up honking thinking that would break up these two dogs trying to kill each other. He got out of his car I begged him to grab Marley's leash while I had a hold of Lola he was too scared to get bit so once again they were at it. I pulled Lola off of Marley screamed at him again please grab her leash please grab her leash instead his 12-year-old son jumped out of his car and grab Marley's leash. It was over but the damage that was done was severe. Luckily for Lola she only was left with superficial puncture wounds . Marley wasn't so lucky aside from the tremendous loss of blood she went into tachycardic shock. The man stayed with Marley when I took Emerson and Lola home to get my car because Marley couldn't walk. Once I got her in the car a friend came we loaded them up in my Tahoe and off to the vet we went. Upon arrival Marley was in severe shock and the vet was afraid she wouldn't make it. It was then we discovered the many lacerations all over her body not just her paw that was ripped to shreds. Marley was transferred to advanced veterinary surgical specialists in Tustin , where she was kept overnight under observation and transferred this morning to the surgical staff. Marley will be undergoing surgery this afternoon to repair her paw as well as her arm. She is stable for now Holli not so much.
