Justice for Taylor

I am a friend of Taylor Gavin, attempting to help her get financial support during this difficult time. While visiting Las Vegas, Taylor got drunk and took an uber alone to her hotel and passed out in the car. When she woke up, her driver was on top of her, strangling her- she could not move. He raped her and then threw her out of the car naked, which was caught on surveillance cameras. She went to the hospital and got a rape kit done. Her toxicology report found that she had been roofied. The perpetrator was put into custody, and Taylor hoped to receive justice from Uber for allowing this horrific crime to happen.

In just a week, the trial was set to occur when Taylor's detective called and said that the perpetrator had killed himself in custody a month earlier (information that was withheld from her until right before the trial). Her case was dropped, and her hopes for justice now seem slim. We are working on getting the compensation that Taylor deserves and, in the meantime, hope that you will contribute funds for Taylor’s therapy, medication and legal fees.
