Hi I’m Nick Kelly and it’s not my nature to ask for anything. I’m usually helping folks and enabling others but this life has taken quite a turn.
Basically the slide began in January 2016 when my father, Chip, fell down some stairs at the house. The hospital missed that he had a small brain bleed and he passed 5 days after being admitted. My angelic mother, Sandra, was destroyed she had not known adult life without my father for backup they we're married for 49 years. I moved into her home and held her hand until I was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 3 in April of 2018, she passed herself on Sept 20 of the same year, I was unable to manage her health while on chemo and she missed Chip so much her broken heart wouldn’t heal.
I’ve been unable to work on my own since my first cancer operation on July 2018. I have a family to support, animals to feed and we may have to move away from the spot my family has known for 30 years. I thought I would be good after 6 months of chemo but during the treatments I acquired a worse more aggressive cancer. Yes I got cancer from chemo, apparently quite rare. I had a second bowel operation on June 10th where I was fitted with a colostomy. I have cancer everywhere now and I start a second more severe round of chemo next week. I had some gene sequencing done and that will cost 5k it’s not covered by insurance. Since I’ve had no income for so long I now realize this may be a permanent situation so I’m reaching out to generous people who may want to help out.
My friends are offering to cook, helping out with chores because I can’t stand for more than 5 mins. I know there are amazing folks in the world and I look forward to a solid healthy body so I can then pass on the love.
