My brother John was admitted to the hospital November 28, 2021. He was suddenly struck with Guillain-Barré syndrome which is a virus that causes total paralysis making him unable to utilize any body function including breathing and moving. He was admitted to TMC where he would spend the next month sedated and on a ventilator. He has since been moved to several rehab facilities to continue his care ( did you know for those on a ventilator there are only 3 rehab facilities in our town? And yes, he’s been to all 3!)Currently he is in a facility where he has been since April 07, 2022. He is getting better, but the road is long. His family has endured financial burden as a result of John and his wife being out of work during this time. His amazing coworkers were able to donate vacation  time to him to assist his family but that has since been capped. His insurance has not covered all the care he needs placing responsibility on him and his wife. In addition they will also need help with living expenses as he recovers.If you are able to help please do so.We will keep you updated on his journey as he recovers.Thank you
