Two years ago I answered a casting call for a local amateur production of "Our Town."  I had never acted before, though it was something I had secretly wanted to do all my life.  Stage fright and fear of memorizing my lines held me back.  But this casting call was different:  "No memorization required," the announcement said, so I thought, "Why not?" 

It quickly became obvious, however, that we would all need to memorize our lines.  But I discovered  that not only did remembering my lines come easily, I LOVED being on stage.  Everything I was afraid of disappeared.  And from the feedback of the director, cast members, and the audience, it was obvious that I was actually pretty good at it.   Many audience members approached me after the performance and asked me if I was a seasoned actor! 

Since then I've performed in a few other shows and have received very strong reviews.  In June I played Lady Macbeth!

And now - I have the opportunity to perform in Cornwall, England at the world famous Minack Theater (www.minack.com), 7 performances over 5 days!  I need to raise $3,000 to pay for travel and lodging to make this dream come true.
