On September 6 2015 Todd was on a Dirtbike trip in northern Baja California Mexico with a bunch of friends. The last day of the ride Todd and 2 other guys from the group decided to ride back up the Pacific side of the peninsula.

We left Meling's Ranch and hit the coast with Ensenada as the final destination. Just north of the San Antonio dunes, we came upon a washout in the trail that was on top of a blind rise. Unfortunately Todd wasn't able to stop in time and rode into the washout. What seemed like a small funny incident at the time turned
out to be more serious then we first realized.

During the crash Todd hit his head and ended up having bleeding on the brain. Todd had headaches and was naseous from time to time ever since the crash. He thought he had gotten sick from eating some bad food while in Mexico and couldn't shake whatever it was.

On October 12th Todd's sister luckily stopped by his house for a visit, and found Todd was having trouble forming sentences and decided to take him to Scripps hospital in Encinitas. While waiting to be seen by a doctor, Todd ended up having a seizure. After this everything unfolded pretty quick after a few quick tests it was determined Todd had bleeding on the brain. He was quickly taken into surgery to have a tube into his head to relieve the pressure on his brain and drain the blood.

Todd is home as of 10/16/15 and is recovering better then expected. He doesn't have coverage to cover all his medical expenses and day to day life.
