12 years ago, the day of our best friend Julie’s baby shower, she saw an orthopedic surgeon and found out she had stage four breast cancer. 7 days later she had her daughter Jessica and they started their journey to fight the battle of a lifetime. Instead of groaning about her situation, Julie has become an advocate for herself, her daughter and her local community. Julie’s “Boobie Patrol” team was one of the largest Susan G. Komen private teams in the Sacramento area and has raised thousands for cancer research. She has gone through a rigorous chemo therapy regiments, numerous rounds of radiation, and 20+ surgeries. But through it all, you never saw her without a smile on her face. Julie is an inspiration to anyone that knows her - she is the most resilient and positive person we know.

2 years ago, Julie had a reoccurrence of cancer in her spine that left her in a wheelchair and permanently paralyzed from the waist down. She’s been living life the best she can but now is finding herself in need. With the latest news of a new tumor in her brain, the cost of treatment, and facing new physical issues -She is challenged this time beyond what she can manage physically and financially.

Her friends have created this GoFundMe page to raise money for Julie. We want to assist her in the following ways; defray the cost of her medical expenses, adapting her house to become more wheelchair friendly and for devices that will allow her more independence.

Julie has always been there for everyone else - never asking for help herself- so we are asking for her.
