My name is Chelsea and I am the wife of Daniel Carroll. A lot of you may know us and some of you may not. Those of you who know my husband Dan, know that he is a great guy & Father to our 3 children, Matthew, Dylan and Faith and has been an amazing Step Father to my Daughter Nicole.
He is well known in Skagit Valley for his business Locksmith Skagit. He has made keys to this whole Valley and everyone loves him. What a lot of people don’t know though the tremendous struggle our family has endured over the past 10 years.
I have been in a long 10 year custody battle for my oldest daughter and she was recently uprooted from our home just a year ago in August. As you can imagine this changed our whole world and it left me feeling hopeless and depressed. The stress from all of that put a huge strain on our marriage and I temporally moved out of our home last summer.
But despite everything Dan and I had to go through with all the courts from that, we came back together and started to work on mending our marriage.
As Dan and I were still working to rebuild our marriage, there was still the hurt and pain there from losing my Daughter. I suffer from PTSD, anxiety and panic attacks all while Dan was suffering in silence because he didn’t want to make what I was feeling worse.
Dan has struggled significantly recently and he will be away for some time leaving myself and our three children financially unstable. I am doing all I can to keep the lights on and my children fed but I need your help.
I am left with the mortgage payment and all the utility bills. Dan was the main provider for our home and he paid all of this while we used my money I make for groceries and entertainment. Right now I have to come up with at least $10,000 just so we don’t lose our house.
I was able to get on food stamps which will help quite a bit but that’s just food. I still have my job as a server and I am able to pick up any shifts I can. I just have a lot to do in order for myself and my 3 kids to survive and not lose everything. I have never been in a position where I have had to ask for help so this has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my entire life. We are struggling and I don’t know what else to do…
If you feel inclined to help our family, it is much appreciated.
