Sherry Drew has been diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer. Sherry is my former spouse and close friend. She is Joe’s and Jamie’s mom. Those of you who know Sherry and see her every day will be stunned to hear this news, as we were. She is as healthy a person as I’ve ever known. Eats right, competes in half-marathons, strong. Our family has learned this disease does not discriminate. We are not alone: Almost everyone who is reading this has been directly or indirectly touched by cancer. After a few days of shock and disbelief, we are moving forward together as a family with great resolve to win. In our family and in her relationships with so many of you, Sherry has always been one who “shows up.” Sherry gives and gives and gives and gives some more, monetarily, emotionally, no matter in what form anyone needs help and support. We know this will be a tough battle on many fronts, including financially. Whatever you can do, whether in prayer or uplifting notes or a few bucks, will be greatly and humbly appreciated. I’m hopeful we can all show up for Sherry as much as she’s always shown up for us. Thank you so much. Love, James #SherryStrong
