Restore Hope for Mike After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
I come to you with a heavy heart, on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:23 a.m., my son, Mike’s home/trailer was completely destroyed by fire. He made it out safely and for that, I thank God, but he lost everything; his clothes, important documents, and all of his cherished photography equipment. The sentimental items—the irreplaceable things that held deep meaning for him—are now gone.
Years ago, our family also experienced a house fire. It’s the kind of loss that leaves a permanent mark. Sifting through ashes looking for memories becomes part of your healing process, but the emotional weight of it never fully disappears.
Mike has endured many losses over the years, and this one is devastating. As a mother, it’s hard to see your child in pain and not be able to fix it. Right now, we’re both overwhelmed and searching for the right words. He hasn’t fully processed this and I worry deeply about the toll this may take on him.
My family and I have been trying to support him however we can. I’ve been encouraging him to come live with me so he can start to rebuild his life in a safe and supportive space, but he has always preferred his independence. It’s part of who he is. Still, I know he cannot walk this road alone.
Please keep Mike in your thoughts and prayers. If you feel moved to offer support in any way, please know it will be greatly appreciated and most importantly it will make a real difference in his life.
As Mike is trying to process this, loss, my daughter, Michelle and I ask that any monetary donations be sent through GoFundMe (processing fees apply) or you can send to my CashApp at $CarmenDedeaux
