Howdy, my name is CJ and I am fundraising for my best friend Ruckus, the dog.
Due to complications and ramifications of surgery over the summer he got a hernia where the stitches were, and due to weight loss, plus the ensuing weakness, he tore his cranial cruciate ligament while playing too hard.
He needs surgery to mend the hernia before it becomes an issue to his organs. As well as a second surgery, a TPLO (tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy) to fix his knee.
Ruckus loves to play, run, jump, catch frisbee, swim, play with his brother Marty, and cat friends, anything, he’s down. He is the greatest companion I’ve ever known, and truly my best pal. Because of the unfortunate prelude to these conditions I’m unable to afford this surgery at this time. I’ve heard community is there to help so I’m asking for any help that’s out there. If you can’t donate please share, it would mean the world to us.
Last year living in Mexico Ruckus began losing weight. After going to several veterinarians and experts we finally got a biopsy to find the problem. They found a deficiency in his pancreas, which created hepatitis in his liver and IBS in his bowels. After finding this a vet in America was able to prescribe a solution and Ruck has been on the road to recovery since. He’s gained 15 pounds and gets better everyday. To ensure a full recovery it’s been expressed by the surgeon at Medvet that these things will need to be taken care of over the next few months. Ruckus still has a long life ahead of him, please help us show him a groovy time while he’s here.
Thank you for taking the time to read!
Love,
CJ, Ruckus, Marty, Hazel, & Maven <3
