Kimberly's Medical Expenses
Friends, Family, & Strangers,
My little sister Kimberly is currently in the hospital fighting for her life. As you can imagine this is a very difficult time for her, and for our entire family.
Kimberly is 28 years old and suffers from a disease called "dysautonomia." This disease has no known cure. Episodes of the disease can manifest in many different ways, and that has certainly been the case for her over the years. Past episodes have been scary and hard, but they have always eventually subsided.
This time however, her current episode has not subsided, and has ultimately begun to take her life. She is currently at Mayo Clinic working with Doctors on a very dangerous procedure in an attempt to save her.
I write to you with a saddened heart, but with great hope in Jesus.
I also write to you in order to share with you a great burden that Kim caries, a medical debt that is in excess of $20,000 and growing. This staggering number exists because of the nature of her disease, because of the countless hospital visits over the years, and because of the expensive nature of her current visit.
Simply put, I asked my sister what I could do for her. Initially she said, "nothing." But, a few moments following that, she began to share how much her financial situation weighs on her. Immediately it became clear that I had an opportunity to help, and to work to reduce this burden for her while she is fighting for her life.
So, dear Body of Christ, friends, family, and strangers I am asking for your help. Please help me help my beloved sister. I know that I am asking for a lot, but please take my word for it, she is worth every penny I am asking for and more.
If 250 people would give $100 we could eliminate this debt for her in a matter of days. If by Gods Grace we were able to raise $25,000 anything more would help with future medical costs, as this is something that she will deal with for the rest of her life.
Would you prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift in order to help me eliminate a great burden for my sick baby sister? Anything you are able to give is greatly appreciated!
Thank You.
