On Sunday, July 28, our little brother Isaiah Baker, who recently moved to California to pursue his career in being a professional Canine Trainer/Counselor, was in a near-fatal car accident. He was unknowingly forced off the road by a passing vehicle and rolled down a 50-foot embankment multiple times.

Isaiah sustained many injuries, with the biggest being that he fractured his spine and was required to undergo major surgery. He had multiple rods and some screws placed in his neck for reinforcement. We are so thankful and very blessed to say that Isaiah's surgery was successful and he is eager and ready to do all he can to make a full and speedy recovery.
Isaiah's passion and talent for dogs brought him across the country and we are optimistic his positive attitude and eagerness to live life to the fullest will get him back into shape and allow him to continue pursuing his dreams to become one of the best dog trainers he can be.
As you all can imagine this has been tough on our family both emotionally and financially. With the last-minute flights, hotel stays and uprooting my mother and brother's lives to be there for Isaiah as he embarks on his long journey to recovery, it has not been easy.
First and foremost we ask for your continued prayers, well wishes, and words of encouragement to Isaiah and our entire family. We also want to help alleviate any worry and struggles to our family as we embark on this road to recovery for Isaiah. We never imagined we would need to create a campaign like this, but when life throws you curve balls you have to do all you can to handle it, and we know we can not do this without help from those who love and care for us.
All donations received will be used to support my mother's stay in California, to safely transport Isaiah back home to Louisville, KY, once he is cleared to travel, and to cover some medical bills that have and will accrue. Your help will not only be greatly appreciated but never forgotten. Where there is hope, there is faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen.
We thank Dr. Lee, the surgeons, and the nursing staff at the Santa Clara Medical Center in Fruitdale, California for taking care of Isaiah thus far and making sure his surgery went smoothly. We also thank Isaiah's supervisor Jas Leverette and all his coworkers at CaliK9 Solutions for being his second family and checking in on him and keeping his spirits high.
"The road to recovery will be tough, but I am going to persevere and make sure I overcome whatever obstacles are in my way. I appreciate the continued love and support. Watch my progress...a "minor" setback for a major comeback!" - Isaiah Baker
