Winnie’s Medical Bills
Donation protected
Winnie was born on December 5, 2022. But in those first few moments of her life, Winnie’s doctor noticed she had a significant heart murmur, and Winnie was immediately transferred to the NICU of a local children’s hospital for more tests and treatment. Upon further evaluation, it was determined that Winnie was born with multiple cardiac issues, including a ventricular septal defect as well as pulmonary valve stenosis.
Winnie was in the NICU for 5 days on a CPAP machine before finally making her way home. But, at her one month appointment, Winnie’s doctor determined that she would need a cardiac cath to open one of her valves due to her previous condition. The doctor told us that the chances of needing more procedures beyond this one would be about 50/50. The cath was preformed and Winnie’s condition improved. However, at her next follow up, the doctor informed us that Winnie would again need another cardiac cath. She just finished up her second cath and is doing well now, but the doctor again told us that it will be a 50/50 shot whether she will need more procedures down the road.
Winnie’s father is a firefighter/paramedic and her mother is an emergency room nurse. It’s not easy to ask for help, but between being off of work for Winnie’s procedures along with the cost of her medical bills, it has put a financial strain on our family. We are asking for any support you can give so we can make sure Winnie can get everything she needs. Thank you!
I am Winnies father. The money raised will go toward her medical bills. Thank you all again.
