Delilahs road to recovery

November 17th update
Delilah is still in a medically induced coma, fighting with toxic shock. The doctors are currently trying to cut back on her blood pressure medication and it is not dropping so that is a good sign. We are still unsure of when delilah will be awake. Right now all we can do is hope and pray that things get better, as we all know Delilah is a fighter though.
Hello, we are hoping too help Delilah and family offset costs due to an unexpected medical emergency that will have a long road to recovery. Due to this tragedy, delilah will not be able to return to her job and her day to day life will be heavily effected, aswell as her partner having to take an extended time of work off to be there by her side and help with this huge life adjustment. Anyone that knows Delilah knows she would help anyone in need, no questions asked.

Last night on November 14th, 2023 mom (Delilah Yakichuk) was rushed to the hospital. She had been suffering flu like symptoms for a few days prior but being cold and flu season we didn’t think much of it. Last night she called me and was hallucinating so Charlie rushed her to the hospital. She was immediately put in a medically induced coma, and on a ventilator. Shortly after that she suffered a heart attack but they were able to bring her back quickly. Her kidneys aren’t currently functioning and her blood pressure is very low. They then moved her into the ICU where she got worse over night. They believe that the dehydration and an infection in her leg have been the cause this. As of right now Mom has had to have her right leg amputated at the knee as it was full of infection. They don’t believe there is any infection above the knee. She is currently in the same state that she was prior to surgery. They are hopeful now that they have amputated the infected leg that the antibiotics will now be able to do their job and return her organ function. We all know how strong Mom is but this is going to be a very long road ahead for her. We all pray those antibiotics do their job overnight ❤️
