As many of you know Barry has been very ill. He's been in and out of the hospital since January and is currently completely disabled. He needs help covering basic expences and medical bills. Disability covers just a small fraction of what Barry needs to cover rent, utilities, food & healthcare. 

Unfortunately the stress of inadeqate funds inhibits Barry from concentrating on getting better and focusing on the real priority-taking care of himself physically & mentally.

He has long been a member of the Castro community and a dear friend to many people. It is our turn to help Barry do whatever it takes to get back on his big feet.
This money is to help with his budget for the next 6 months. To help keep the stress under control. To help make sure Barry has all he needs to recover.

Please help in any amount you can. I know that he has faced some very large challenges over the last few months...let's all help carry a bit of the load for the upcoming months so we can have our Bear Bear back and as sparkly as ever.
