Hello everyone,
My name is Savannah Duarte! I am a former graduate from La Costa Canyon High School in Encinitas, CA. I just graduated in June, 2018. I am so excited for this next season of my life. I am slowly beginning to figure out what God wants me to do with my future, and my calling. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity that He's given me to attend the Discipleship Training School at YWAM Kona.
YWAM is an organization that equips leaders to go out and lead people to Jesus, "To know Jesus, and make Him known." These past 3 years of my life, I have dedicated almost all of my time to ministry. I was blessed to have leaders in my life that encouraged me to try new things, grow in my gifts, and get uncomfortable. I started serving on the youth's worship team, and eventually worked my way up to serving on the main worship team. Including getting the chance to serve on a short term missions trip to the LA Dream Center. I can't express to you, how much God has blessed me through all of it. Every time I serve, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm suppose to be. It has given me purpose and peace in every aspect of my life.
I can't wait to experience what real love looks like, and to express that to others as I serve them. I will not only be serving the community in Kona, but I have the opportunity to serve on a mission trip for the second half of my training in another country. By September 27th, I need to reach the amount of $4,000 to attend the DTS program. The first half of the funds would cover housing for 3 months, and the second would cover the expenses for the missions trip.
Our God is so big and so good. Having the opportunity to do my part and grow his kingdom is an honor, as there are so many people in need of His great love and mercy. The financial support and prayers would help me take the steps into walking in the purpose He has for me.
I say all this in advance, that I am extremely grateful for absolutely anything that can help me reach my goal.
