YWAM DTS in Mazatlan
Donation protected
Hey, this is Micah Pagett.
On3/17/17 I applied for a YWAM DTS that starts on March 30th and was accepted the next day. Fast I know. I have enough to make it down there, and am able to continue fundraising once I'm there.
I have always felt a call to long term missions, but I've never had a clear picture of where specifically God might want me. So this DTS is me throwing something out there and seeing if God wants to open the door. I am not worried one bit about the funds. If God wants me there, then I am positive he will keep the door open. This amount of money is really not a problem for him.
This DTS is a chance for me to get some practical training on how to proceed with missions in general. It also emphasises issues concerning identity.
On my walk with God, I have asked him to increase my faith. I want Paul's words to be true of me when he says, "if I still cared about what people think, then I would not be a bond-servant to Christ!" I am attempting to pursue what God wants me to do, and I remain open handed towards him to open the doors that he wants to, and to close the doors that he wants to. I want to be 100% a bond-servant to Christ and go wherever he calls me.
That being said, I just want to encourage you to do the same as you read this. Ask God if he wants you to give money to support me. If he does, then obey. I think obedience to him is worship. If he doesn't ask you to give, then, don't worry about it. I think he has me covered.
Feel free to contact me for any questions. I'd love to talk to you about it. My number is 5039312376
