YWAM- 6 Month Mission Trip

As some of you know, I have been accepted into YWAM Engage and my DTS begins this summer. If you aren't familiar with YWAM it is an amazing Christian organization that is committed to making an international impact. After attending my first mission trip with a church back in June 2018, I instantly fell in love with missions. As a huge surprise to me, I was asked to lead the trip into Tijuana, Mexico the next year. As before, many people tried to warn me about the dangers of travelling into these  dangerous areas. Yet, it was apparent to myself and to others, that I have a deep rooted connection to engaging with others, especially those who feel unreachable. Recently, I got to attend a Christmas trip to TJ and it put everything into perspective for me. I realized I felt at home when I was on these mission trips, with strangers, in places most people wouldn't dare go. I've learned I'd rather risk my life doing what sets my soul on fire than waste it by playing it safe. I decided then that I wanted to commit this next part of my life to going into the nations and truly helping those in need through sharing the love of Jesus. I decided I wanted to take the risk, to answer God's call, and purse my true passion. I am passionate to help those who feel unlovable, helpless, and forgotten. My goal is to make an international and life long difference in people's lives. At home, I have served as a mentor to our youth,  the homeless in my community, and also with my local celebrate recovery groups. I connect well with those who are struggling, just as I have. Most people can't believe the radical changes in my life & I know that without a doubt, its because I've been saved by grace. I love God, I love people, and I want to share the news of the God who saved my life, and who can save others too. To those who don't know who God is, I want to represent His love & light so they may see who He is through me. If they do know who God is, I simply want just make connections, and to build up other disciples to reach those who don't who He is. I want to be the hands and feet of God's work. I want to make an international impact through engaging with others in the nations. I hope that my story will help others, so they can also help others. I will complete 3 months of schooling, then be sent out into the nations for 3 months. The trip is 6 months total, and our "outreach" locations are yet to be determined! 

The total cost is about $10,000  which you can find on the "What is YWAM?" link. You will see this covers the cost of 3 meals a day, housing, and my schooling. It does not cover the cost of flights to different countries, or back to the states. I also have to pay for out of country health insurance in case of any emergencies, any other necessities, as well as all of my my monthly bills while I'm gone and unable to work. Well, I'll be working but as community service. Truthfully, anything helps! I know God will provide exactly what I need!

I will also be selling clothing, furniture, house decor, etc. So stay tuned for that as well! I leave June 25th, 2020 and return back to the states in December. Above all else, I am simply asking for prayers and good vibes. I can't wait to share this adventure with you guys :)
