My name is Jaylen Walker, a 15-year-old student-athlete who participates in football and track and field. I recently sustained a significant sports injury, dislocating my shoulder and tearing my labrum tendon. The news of the injury's severity and the necessity of surgery was understandably distressing. Facing a prolonged period away from sports and training, I initially felt anxious about the void this would create in my life.

With the support of my parents, I have found a new focus in photography and videography. Instead of succumbing to potential depression, I have redirected my passion towards capturing the talent of athletes at my school and in the surrounding area. This creative outlet has been instrumental in maintaining my mental well-being during my surgical recovery.
