Hi my name is Roxy! I have a tumor in my chest, next to my heart that my mommy and my Doctors think is very important to have removed through a surgery called a Thoracoscopy. My surgeon says I’m a good candidate for it and Mom already had my CT done. If I don’t have the surgery, my prognosis is not very good, when it grows bigger. My mom has had a lot of talks with me on the pros and cons of surgery and I really want to be able to hike more this summer with her and my baby human sister Heidi. When the tumor grows too big it will push on my heart and make that very difficult.
I am a rescue Pitbull mix Mom got me when I was 8 weeks old and we’ve been best buds ever since. I know we get a bad rap, but I’ve never known anything but love. Kisses are my love language!
We are reaching out to friends and family to help with the surgery cost of almost $12,000. Mom has never asked for any help before (even with her own health issue) but right now she takes care of my baby sister and me by herself and cannot afford the surgery, daycare, rent and other bills. She recently got a second job and pet sits on the side to help pay for it. I try to help by giving little Heidi lots of cuddles and kisses. I let Heidi walk along my back and she is almost standing on her own! I’m also very careful to not knock her over with my tail.
I’d love to be able to spend more time with Heidi as she grows and be around long enough she’ll remember her first puppy. With this surgery, I may get to see her for many more years! Without it, I might only have a few months. My mom just went through a really hard chapter in life and we all moved to a small apartment together on our own. Mommy keeps me safe so I want to be around for many more years to make sure her and Heidi are safe as well.
Please help donate to my surgery if you can. My mom always says this thing called “soul dog” and I know that means I’m really important to her. She can’t lose me and I can’t lose her. I know I’ll grow old but right now I’m 10 years young and still have a lot of spunk! Mom promised to be by my side the whole time and will post updates through the process.
Thank you so much to anyone that is able to donate.
Love,
Roxy
