help sid afford top surgery

Hello friends,

This is a fundraiser to help our dear friend sid be able to take the time off from work that they need to fully recover from top surgery!

On April 21st, sid will go under the knife towards being more fully in their own body. Sid is an RMT which means two important things:

1. They're an independent contractor, so don't have any access to EI or sick leave or similar benefits,

2. It's a fairly physical job so we want to help them be able to FULLY recover, before going back to supporting other people's physical well being

We are hoping to raise 2 months' basic living expenses so that sid doesn't have to rush back to work, which would include sid's apartment, RMT office space, bills and food, with a stretch goal of covering 10 appointments with a physiotherapist or similar to help with recovery for their physically demanding job. There is an additional $2500 medical cost for lypo that provides a better outcome.

Sid provides so much support to their community every single day, and this is our opportunity to return some of that love and support. Sid uses their body to help others feel good in their bodies and we want to make sure that they can fully heal so that they can continue offering that healing to others.
