Farmer Ray's Medical Bills

Donation protected
The morning of April 8, 2015  was like any other morning. After doing the barn chores and making their plans for the day, Dana began planting the vegetables for their fabulous CSA located in Frankford, New Jersey. Ray was in the shop making goats milk soap to sell. When Dana came in to have lunch with Ray, Ray said his hands felt weak. Dana asked Ray to squeeze her hands numerous times. It felt as if a small child was grasping her.  Ray had lost all strength in his hands! Off to the hospital they went. Ray was evaluated for stroke and spinal cord compression. Ray's condition quickly declined as he became paralyzed and was intubated and placed on a respirator within 48 hours. Diagnosis: Guillian Barre, an autoimmune disease secondary to a viral infection.
Since the diagnosis, Ray has been in four facilities. While he has shown improvement the nature of the disease is a slow recovery. Medical bills continue to mount and we can anticipate a lengthy recovery at home with much care necessary.
Since this sad day in April, Ray's wife, Dana has been working the farm alone, as well as visiting her husband during this very trying time.  The CSA is  Dana and Ray's livelihood and the challenges they are faced with are extremely daunting. Please help my friends in their time of need. Any and all support in any form is greatly appreciated.  The DanaRay Farm sends their love!!
