Hi everyone,  my name is Deborah Smith.  I'm really not a fan of having to ask for help but about a month ago my oncologist gave me the "bad news" that I think no one is really prepared to get. I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and was diagnosed the first time on December 23,2009 and I've had a lot of recurrences since then and this time I was told that my liver is failing and my oncologist gave me a few days to weeks to make it.  Well now, thankfully is been a month and a few days that I'm still here.  My oncologist sent me home with hospice and told my nurse that she's exhausted everything she could to help me.  So now I'm living on daily prayers with the help of pain meds to help me through my days.  And of course my great husband and great kids are such a big help with taking care of me. The reason I'm asking for help the most is we were in the process of looking for a home we're wanting to buy so I can rest peacefully if something does happen to me, I'll know that my kids and husband are well taken care of. I'm still fighting my cancer  battle best I can but I'm honestly unsure if there is anything else that can be done for me. Every morning starts a new battle for me so to speak because I'm unsure what each day holds for me when I wake every morning, I do try to stay positive but some days are a bit harder than others.  So if there is anyway my family and I could ask for any help,  this is the only way I know how.
