TW: domestic violence, SA, financial abuse

Due to the ever worsening political climate and the end of a very long term abusive relationship with someone who SA’d me, physically harmed me and ended up stealing my retirement in a way I can’t get back (confirmed by a solicitor from a domestic violence charity) I am seeking help to obtain my citizenship which is £1785 in total

I can’t currently put any money towards the citizenship costs as I have to save for a retirement I thought was safe whilst in my 40’s, as well as saving up for a mobility scooter as I am almost entirely housebound. The scooter type I need must be lightweight so I can manage it, and it will cost around £1000. This will make a huge difference in my life, as I am currently indoors 4-6 weeks at a time and I may even need to move home due to my current flat being inaccessible to me - and I will have to either pay for that on top of the scooter, or accept being housebound.

There is too much I need to pay for to feel safe and navigate life alone as a disabled person before I can even begin to deal with my trauma, and therapy is something else to save for after I’m closer to having my physical needs met. The DV charity I worked with to keep my current home after the financial abuse and seek legal advice has waiting lists so long I can’t even yet get my name on the list yet, which is pushing UK citizenship back, however it is one of the more crucial things at this time due to the way things are headed politically.

£100 (estimated) to cover GofundMe fees (this will change depending on how many donations)

= £1885

Anything I receive above this amount I will put towards the mobility scooter, and also therapy to try and start the process of healing and recovering
