We are reaching out on behalf of my mother’s partner Yvon Viau and his family as they struggle with the most difficult time of their lives.

Yvon recently suffered a sudden and life-threatening aortic rupture. Thanks to emergency surgery and the incredible work of medical professionals, he is still with us — but he remains in critical condition at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, battling through a number of serious complications. His resilience has been nothing short of inspiring but the road ahead is uncertain and overwhelming.

This has turned our world upside down. While his family is staying strong for him, the emotional and financial strain is growing daily. As they focus on being by Yvon’s side, we’re asking for your support to help lighten the load with unexpected expenses including travel, lodging, meals, and missed work.
