Hello,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news that we have lost our dear friend Yvonne Osario. Yvonne fought a courageous battle, with her loving family by her side, but ultimately succumbed to pancreatic cancer on April 26th.
Yvonne leaves behind a husband (Rene) and 7 children (3 under the age of 9 years). Besides the gaping whole she leaves in their lives, Yvonne was a person who touched so many with her light, love, and compassion. We at the D300 Food Pantry are among the lucky ones who got to know Yvonne, her big heart, and her endless energy. Yvonne was a regular volunteer at the pantry – she was there every Wednesday evening to assist with pantry preparations and our registration process. Before she got sick, Yvonne's welcoming smile and "can-do" attitude was a regular part of our Wednesday operations. To say that she will be missed, is an understatement of monumental proportions. Our hearts were deeply touched by Yvonne and we will forever remember her beautiful soul.
Yvonne's impact at the D300 Food Pantry is a part of our legacy as she was one of the "stars" of a video filmed about us less than a year ago. View that video here: http://d300foodpantry.org/about-us/video.html
Please consider making a contribution to Yvonne's family for funeral service costs as well as to help support Yvonne's youngest children with any immediate needs.
Please also consider supporting Yvonne's family in this difficult time by dropping off a meal. The family has requested help with meals through the month of May while they make arrangements and transition to their life without her. Sign up for the Meal Train here: https://mealtrain.com/vwyqez
