Memorial funds for beloved Yvonne Maxwell
Donation protected

Yvonne Maxwell was a deeply loving and caring person with a great sense of humor. They were passionate about carrying the message of recovery to people in treatment facilities and the carceral system. Yvonne was a rightfully proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. They received a B.S. in biology from Fisk University with a minor in history and were a member of the sorority Zeta Phi Beta. In retirement, Yvonne was thrilled to act as a referee for NYCDOE sports teams. They lived by the quote, "Learn as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow." Yvonne will be missed deeply.
We were introduced to Yvonne in the summer of 2020 during the depth of COVID19 pandemic quarantine.
Through crowd-funded support, we were able to provide Yvonne with hot meals, groceries, clothes, and other necessities every single week for the last 7 months. With overwhelming financial generosity and our deep belief in caring for community members, especially those most vulnerable, we were able to provide them with abundance in the last months of their life. Now we are once again turning to everyone to help us put our dear Yvonne to rest with the love and dignity we all deserve.

Please help us take care of Yvonne one final time!
*any extra funds raised will go back into cooking and caring for other community members*
